Dr. Alsalman recently moved to Milton from the U.S. and enjoys spending time with her husband exploring the vibrant food, music, and art scene in the Greater Toronto Area and Halton Region. She is happy to call Milton home.
Laura Jane Bradfield (LJ) is a graduate of the accredited dental hygiene program held at The Canadian College of Dental Health in Burlington, ON. During her time at college she discovered a passion for helping patients achieve their dental needs through thorough and caring clinical skills and patient education.
In 2010 LJ moved to Winnipeg to pursue her dental hygiene career where she worked for 4 years at a busy city practice as well as their satellite practice in rural Manitoba. Although LJ enjoyed her time in Manitoba she decided to move back home to be closer to her family and continue practicing here in Milton. LJ enjoys cooking, fitness, golfing and watching sports, especially hockey! She is a huge Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets fan.
Suzanne Carswell is a Registered Dental Hygienist with diplomas also in Dental Assistant, and Preventative Dental Assisting, who brings over 20 years of clinical experience to the practice.
Suzanne is mother to three active boys and grateful for the health of her family – as a way of giving back, Suzanne and her family foster puppies and breed dogs with Guide Dogs of Canada, who match dogs with the hearing and seeing impaired, physically challenged persons, as well as those suffering from epilepsy and autism. Their family is rewarded to know they are having a positive impact in the lives of families less fortunate than their own.
Vikki Fehrman graduated from the Fanshawe College Dental Hygiene Program in 1998.
Prior to finding her career passion, she completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Child Studies Program at Brock University.
Vikki is a very proud Mom (and “Dance Mom”) to her two daughters. If not spending time cycling, camping or hiking the Bruce Trail with the family dog, Vikki can be found cramming for her next book club meeting.
Dr. Joyce Levitt. Why I became a dentist. I worked as a dental receptionist, dental assistant, and dental hygienist before making the big decision to apply to the dental program at the University of Toronto.
As a dental assistant I would sit across from the dentist and watch patients clearly experiencing pain and discomfort and think “there must be a better way to do this!”
Dental school taught me some things about pain control but my real education came when I was given the opportunity to do my Masters in Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapy at the University of Dundee in Scotland.
Finally I was given the tools I needed to do it a better way! Learn about Dr. Levitt’s Professional Qualifications, Professional Employment History, Continuing Education, Publications, and Postgraduate Teaching.
Elena Miller is a Certified Dental Assistant who graduated with Honors from the Islington Dental Academy. Elena joined Mill Ridge Family Dental Care in 2012 when she moved to Milton with her husband after the birth of their daughter and in 2013 the family welcomed their second child.
As the mother of two children (well, three if we count her husband!), Elena’s free time is understandably limited, but she maintains a strong interest in art and makes time to practice yoga as much as possible.
