Why I became a dentist. I worked as a dental receptionist, dental assistant, and dental hygienist before making the big decision to apply to the dental program at the University of Toronto.
As a dental assistant I would sit across from the dentist and watch patients clearly experiencing pain and discomfort and think “there must be a better way to do this!”
Dental school taught me some things about pain control but my real education came when I was given the opportunity to do my Masters in Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapy at the University of Dundee in Scotland.
Finally I was given the tools I needed to do it a better way! Learn about Dr. Levitt’s Professional Qualifications, Professional Employment History, Continuing Education, Publications, and Postgraduate Teaching.

I have been a dental administrator for 6 years. I moved to Canada from India in 2006. I love helping patients to achieve their oral health care goals. I am passionate about being a patient advocate. One of the things I enjoy most is to see how changing a smile can transforms their life. Building personal relationships, working through treatment concerns and creating financial plans has inspired my desire to grow in all of those skills as much as I can. In my free time I love enjoying time with my two kids. I have great passion for dance and I am an avid giddha (Punjabi dance form) performer.
