Dental Implants

Dental implants (also known as Implant Dentistry) are the most effective way of replacing one or more teeth. The dental implant functions as the root of the tooth and on top of the dental implant a crown is cemented. To safely place a dental implant in the ideal position for long term function a special picture is taken of the bone(CT Scan). Using this picture specialized computer software allows the implant to be placed in its ideal position prior to the surgery. This diagnostic phase of dental implant placement allows for safe surgical placement of the dental implant.

Following the surgical placement of the dental implant and integration of the bone with the implant the crown is fabricated to fit the top of the implant. The final result is a functioning tooth where there once was a space.
